1. Information we collect
We collect the following types of information:
a. Personal Data
Name and email address are required for account creation and login. Users may also sign up using their email or Google account. Unless otherwise specified, your email can only be used to send you the details to recover access to your account. The login email address will be stored until it is changed or the account is deleted.
b. Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when you use the Service. This may include information such as the type of mobile device you use, your device’s unique identifier, the IP address of your device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile internet browser you use, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data. Additionally, we may gather information about your interactions with the app, such as the time spent within the app and the features you access or use.
c. Content Data
When creating records within the app, you may provide text, images, and audio transcriptions. If you use the audio transcription feature, your audio files are processed through OpenAI’s transcription services.
d. Information Collected While Using the Application
To enhance your experience and provide the full functionality of our application, we may collect certain information with your prior permission, including: pictures and other content from your device's camera and photo library.
This information is used to deliver features of our service and to improve and customize your experience. Depending on the feature, this data may be uploaded to the Company’s servers and/or a Service Provider’s servers, or it may remain stored locally on your device.
You can manage or disable access to this information at any time through your device settings. Additionally, you can permanently delete your records by navigating to the Memoz - Registros Pedagógicos records section and selecting the "Delete" option at the bottom of the page. Once deleted, the recordings are permanently erased, with no copies or backups retained. Please note that deleted recordings cannot be restored.
2. How we use your information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
a. To provide, maintain, and improve the app’s functionality:
Monitor the usage of our Service.
Allow users to create, edit, and access their pedagogical records.
Enhance user experience through analytics and app performance insights.
Respond to customer support requests.
b. To provide and maintain our Service:
Manage your account and provide you access to various features available as a registered user.
c. For the performance of a contract:
Fulfill the terms of the purchase contract for products, services, or items you have purchased through the Service.

Send updates, security notifications, and other informative communications related to the functionalities, products, or services you've contracted, using methods such as email, phone calls, SMS, or push notifications.
e. To manage your requests:
Respond to and manage any requests you make to us.
3. Retention of your personal data
The Company will retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. We will use and retain your data as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies. Unless otherwise stated, your personal data will be stored only for as long as necessary to provide the Services. You can choose to immediately delete records by selecting the "Delete" option in the app’s records section, or you can delete your account by using the "Exclude Account" option in the app's Menu.
4. Security of your personal data
Our application data is stored in a PostgreSQL database managed by Supabase, hosted in data centers from providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud, ensuring high availability and security. Supabase Storage is used for file storage and implements AES-256 encryption at rest, protecting all stored data. All communications between the application and Supabase services are encrypted using TLS/SSL connections, ensuring data security during transmission. Additionally, Supabase adheres to advanced security practices, such as Row-Level Security (RLS) in PostgreSQL, enabling granular control over data access.
5. Disclosure of Your Personal Data
a. Business Transactions
If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
b. Law enforcement
Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).
c. Other legal requirements
The Company may disclose Your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

Our service may allow you to delete certain information directly within the app. You can update, amend, or delete your information at any time by signing into your account (if you have one) and visiting the app's menu section located in the top right corner to manage your personal information.

7. Third-Party Services
Since Memoz may rely on a third-party service, OpenAI, L.L.C., for voice-to-text conversion, any audio data that users choose to convert to text may be shared with OpenAI to obtain the transcribed versions. Similarly, Memoz AI may use OpenAI for text processing tasks such as summarization or rewriting, and the text that users choose to transform may be shared with OpenAI to receive the processed versions. Only audio and text data are shared for these purposes—no other data, such as the user's IP address or account information, is shared. Under the agreement between Memoz and OpenAI, we will cover the cost of the transcriptions on behalf of users. OpenAI will only access the audio or text data to provide the transcribed or edited versions and will not use the data for any other purposes.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us immediately. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We will take steps to remove that information from Our servers.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page, and we will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our service before the changes take effect.
